1. what you are buying
a content hub purchase is a licence to use a specific video, delivered as a digital download the moment payment is confirmed. you preview the watermarked version before you buy, and the specifications (duration, resolution, dimensions, file size) are shown on the video's page. because the file is delivered instantly and cannot be returned, the cooling-off right in section 44 of the electronic communications and transactions act does not apply once the file has been downloaded.
2. when you are entitled to a refund
you can claim a full refund, or a replacement file if you prefer, within 7 days of payment if:
- the file is defective: it will not play, is corrupt, or is materially different from the watermarked preview (for example a much lower resolution than stated);
- the video is not as described: the listing's title, description, specifications or brand tags were materially wrong;
- the licence cannot be honoured: we discover the creator did not hold the rights needed to license the video to you.
these are your rights under the consumer protection act, and we honour them for business buyers too.
3. when a refund is not available
- change of mind after the clean file has been downloaded;
- the video turned out not to suit your campaign, platform or format, where the listing was accurate;
- a claim made more than 7 days after payment;
- the video has already been published, edited or otherwise used.
if you have not yet downloaded the clean file and change your mind within 7 days, contact us and we will cancel the licence and refund you.
4. how to claim
email info@magosmedia.co.za within 7 days of payment with the video title, the email address you bought with, your payfast reference, and a short description of the problem (a screenshot or the error you see helps). we reply within 2 business days; if we need to check the file we will tell you how long that takes.
5. how refunds are paid
approved refunds go back to the payment method you used, through payfast, within 10 business days of approval; your bank or card issuer may take a few more days to show it. we refund the full amount you paid. once refunded, your download link stops working and the licence is withdrawn.
6. creators
a creator's share of a sale becomes available for withdrawal 7 days after payment, once this refund window has closed. if a purchase is refunded, that sale's share is removed from the creator's balance and the creator is told why. a creator whose file was defective can upload a corrected version so the video keeps selling.
7. other purchases
campaign fees agreed between a brand and nima are governed by that campaign's contract, not this policy. this policy should be read together with our terms & conditions and privacy policy. questions: info@magosmedia.co.za.
